Being faithful to the charism of Nano Nagle, Social Justice became an intentional focus in all areas in the Sisters’ ministries. These grassroots ministries connected into the advocacy work of the International Presentation Association (IPA) at the United Nations. Each Presentation Congregation appointed a Social Justice Contact Person to liaise with the wider Presentation world, particularly at the United Nations and to keep their respective Congregations informed about Justice issues
Through these IPA Connections, the Sisters and Presentation people are involved advocating for those made poor, Indigenous peoples of Australia, women and children, refugees and the care for the earth in their local areas. Sisters take part in letter writing and prayerful support on the issues presented by IPA (International Presentation Association). Some Sisters are involved with the IPA Justice Network, Catholic Coalition for Justice and Peace (CCJP), Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation (ANTaR), Australian Religious Against Human Trafficking (ACRATH), The Blue Mountains East Timor Sisters (BMETS), Pacific Calling Partnership and parish based Social Justice groups. The Congregation is financially supporting these ministries and other groups that speak on behalf of those who do not have a voice.
When the Sisters began to diversify from school education as a ministry, the Congregation supported two Sisters to set up a Youth Ministry Team to work in the schools and with ex-students providing retreats and spiritual formation. That work later expanded to re-establish the Youth Ministry in the Wagga Wagga Diocese. This in turn led to work with DOCS (Department of Community Services) in Sydney with youth in Juvenile Justice Centres
